Alfonso Gil earned his DDS degree with highest honors from the University of the Basque Country (2008\u20132013).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He completed the Advanced Periodontology Specialization Programme and obtained a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California (USC) (2013\u20132016), followed by a specialization in Advanced Surgical Implant Dentistry at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) (2016\u20132017).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2017, he became a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From 2017 to 2022, he completed the specialization programme in Reconstructive Dentistry and the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Implantology at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry, University of Zurich. During this period, he worked for two years as a Research Assistant and for three years as an Assistant in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Materials Science. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He obtained his PhD from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) in 2019 with a doctoral thesis focused on VISTA root coverage procedures on teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Gil currently serves as Co-Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry (IJED). He is also EAO Advisor and Ambassador for Spain, a SEPES Board Member, and a member of the EAED Communication Committee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
