Anna Louropoulou graduated in 2002 from the Dental School of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2004, she started her postgraduate training in Periodontology in the Academic Center for Dentistry in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from where she graduated with “cum laude” in 2007. In 2017 Anna acquired her PhD from the University of Amsterdam. Her research was about prevention and management of peri-implant diseases and more specifically the instruments that can be used to clean contaminated implant surfaces. Nowadays Anna divides her time between the private practice where she practices Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and giving lectures and clinical training to dental care professionals regarding the treatment of peri-implantitis. She works in a interdisciplinary setting with orthodontists, endodontists and prosthodontists, focusing on the treatment of complex cases among which the oral rehabilitation of children and young adolescents after trauma.
