Fernando Zarone is full professor of Prosthodontics, Dental Materials, Prosthetic and Lab Technologies, Implant Prosthodontics, director of SUDD (Scientific Unit of Digital Dentistry) and head of the ward of Prosthodontics at the Dept. of Neurosciences, Reproductive and Odontostomatological sciences in the University “Federico II” of Naples (Italy). He also teaches in the Degree programs in Dentistry and in Oral Hygiene, in many Post-graduate, Master, PhD courses and Continuing Education programs in the same School, as well as in some of the most prestigious international Universities.
Prof. Zarone’s research work has been mainly focused on the topics of Esthetics, new restorative materials, digital dentistry, minimally invasive restorations and innovative productive technologies,in Prosthetic Dentistry.
A speaker at the most prestigeous international meetings and courses, he has authored many relevant publications in international scientific journals, like Dental Materials, J Prosthetic Dentistry, Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, COIR, JOMI, J Adhesive Dentistry, J. Dentistry and various books. He is also peer-reviewer and in the editorial board of highly impacted scientific journals.
Prof. Zarone is an active member of various scientific societies, like IAO (Italian Society of Osseointegration), DDS (Digital Dentistry Society, in which is member of the Scientific Committee and certified speaker), SIPRO (Italian Society of Prosthodontics and Oral Rehabilitation, in which is founder member). He is also past-president of SIOPI (Italian Society of Dental- and Implant-Prosthodontics).
