Vital Pulp Therapy: Clinical Tips and Secrets for Successful Outcomes

Abstract
Vital pulp therapy is an evidence-based and minimally invasive therapeutic solution aimed at preserving the vitality of healthy pulp and preventing the development of periapical inflammation. This therapy forms the biological basis of endodontic treatment and includes, among others, techniques of indirect and direct pulp capping partial and full pulpotomy, which are primarily applied in cases of permanent teeth with deep caries and pulp involvement or following pulp exposure after traumatic dental injuries.
The improved knowledge of pathophysiology of the pulp in relation to the progression of caries, the use of magnification from dental microscopes and the use of modern bioceramic materials have led in recent years to successful vital pulp treatment techniques.
The purpose of the seminar is to discuss clinical secrets and practices for successful management of vital pulp in cases with deep caries or after traumatic pulp exposures, and to present the use of different types and forms of bioceramic materials in each treatment scenario.
