ABSTRACT
Working length is defined as the distance from a coronal reference point, to the point at which canal preparation and obturation should terminate. Working length is a basic clinical measurement, useful throughout endodontic treatment. Accurate determination, prevents underinstrumentation which may result in pulp tissue or necrotic remnants at the apical third or overinstrumentation and the subsequent overobturation, leading to clinical symptomatology and/or delayed periapical healing.
In this webinar, the basic methods of working length determination along with some useful clinical tips for easier and continuous confirmation during endodontic treatment procedures, will be presented. The purpose of this webinar is to familiarize clinicians with working length determination and management, as a dynamic procedure. Correct initial working length measurement and adjusting for a possible change intraoperatively, are the basic steps for a predictable technical result in endodontic treatment.
The webinar is part of the educational topic “Modern Clinical Endodontic Concepts”
