Module 1: Introduction to Neuromodulators used in Aesthetic Medicine

Abstract:
Description: A brief introduction to the neurotoxins used in Aesthetic Medicine covering the main indications, tips for optimal results, basic facial anatomy, and potential complications and how to avoid them. Objectives: Neuromodulators have revolutionised Aesthetic Medicine and are currently the most commonly performed and requested non-surgical treatments worldwide. This module will allow the participant to familiarise themselves with the safe and effective use of neurotoxins to improve dynamic lines and wrinkles of the upper face.

 
 

Module 2: Introduction to Dermal Fillers

Abstract:
Description: A brief introduction to dermal fillers, their applications in the field of Aesthetic Medicine, basic techniques and potential complications. This module will also provide an overview of the wide range of dermal fillers including hyaluronic acid (HA) and non-HA fillers.
Objectives: Upon completion of this module all participants will be able to appreciate the differences between HA and non-HA dermal fillers, their indications and why fillers, in particular HA, have become the second most popular treatment in Aesthetic Medicine. A demonstration of various injection techniques will be shown and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the trainer.

 
 

Module 3: Facial Anatomy pertinent to injectables

Abstract:
Description: Facial anatomy undeniably enhances the practitioner’s confidence to perform treatments to enhance and rejuvenate facial appearance. Important structures such as retaining ligaments and the superficial and deep fat compartments of the face will be analysed and their significance in relation to the aging face will be demonstrated.
Objectives: All participants will understand the importance of sound anatomical knowledge in order to avoid complications and sub-optimal aesthetic results. They will also appreciate the macroscopic age -related changes that take place as a result of the alterations of the underlying facial anatomy.

 
 

Module 4: Complications associated with injectables

Abstract:
Description: This extremely popular module is a must for all Aesthetic Medicine practitioners as it covers relatively common problems and serious complications associated with neurotoxins and dermal fillers. The lecturer will present an array of complications along with photographic evidence, tips on how to avoid post-treatment adverse events and should they arise how they can be effectively treated based on his vast experience.
Objectives: All participants will be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of the most commonly occurring complications associated with injectables. They will understand the mechanism of serious complications such as skin necrosis or blindness post filler injection and how to proceed promptly in order to correct or minimise the consequences before seeking expert help.
